(This is my previous bible, FYI.) I sectioned off scripture so it was easier to find. Not only that but the color coded highlighting I used which I explained in a previous blog post (about 2-3 back) helps me locate scripture a lot easier.
My writing is bigger so it is easier to look at compared to the small headings they give plus I can personalize it and sometimes I find that it should be further divided.
I thought this was an efficient way to explain the gospel and salvation to someone by doing a step by step in my bible, rather than having to search for the scriptures from the top of my head when the time came.
So first I open my bible to a blank page in the front and wrote Plan of Salvation: John 3:16. So I remember I am to start there. Right next to John 3:16 I write the next scripture I am to go with a (PS) before it and a hint as to what it is so I can explain as I go. Then I flip to that scripture that I wrote down and do the same thing until I get to the end. So here is the scriptures I chose.

Here is an example starting from 1 Peter 1:9...I went to the verse and then wrote down the next verse in line Matthew 1:23.
Now at Matthew 1:23, I write down Hebrews 7:27 and so forth.
So what I would say would be something like this: God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that who would believe in Him would have everlasting life. The bible tells us in Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death so how can we have eternal life? In Hebrews 9:22 we see that the old testament tells us that we need blood for the remission of our sins and we also know from the old testament that the sacrifice had to be without spot. 1 Peter 1:19 says that Christ was without spot and that he was that blood. He was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23) and was sin free. He was that final sacrifice as stated in Hebrews 7:27 so we no longer need any more blood. His was sufficient. So how can receive this free gift and be saved? Romans 10:9 tells us that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts that God raised Christ from the dead, we are saved. Then Acts 2:38 tells us we are to repent and be baptized and that we will receive the gift of the holy spirit.

Marking prophecies of Christ: I underline the scripture withpurple and a cross beside it. I use purple to underline anything about the Godhead in scripture.
As you can see in the second picture, I put apurple square around the verse with the prophecy and write next to them the scripture where the prophecy is at. Scriptures of prayer/praise:, I highlight the chapter in orange and then the specific scripture numbers in orange,
Holy Spirit moments: I just started doing this but when I feel the Holy Spirit strongly while reading scripture, I now mark the verse number with a cloud around it with purple, same color used to underline things about God.
Color coded highlighting: This is great for going back and looking up scripture.
Blue=Promises Pink=Love/Discipleship Orange=Faith Green=Family Yellow=Salvation Purple underline=the God head
In my previous bible I used a different color code, as follows: Pink=Commands/Instructions Purple=God's Character Yellow=Prophecy Blue=Promises
I used crayola twistables to highlight so I highlighted the purple but I prefer to underline the purple because sometimes the scripture can be about God and faith or another subject.
Scripture I memorize: I put a half square type bracket at the beginning and the end of the scripture I have memorized or have on my memorization list.
Scripture I love: I put a pink heart beside my favorite verses.
Scriptures I underline and circle: I underline everything related to God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in purple. I square traits of the Godhead or things that they do/have done.
I circle things we should do as Christians or commands inpink (same color I highlight love/discipleship in it).
I underline all things we should avoid such as sin and satan in red.
General Information: I mostly use this in the gospels, the Torah and books of history (such as 1 Kings). I underline all important people or highlights of the story in green.
This is a study guide for the book of Revelations that I have created. I am starting with Revelations chapter 6 because before this is just letters to the different churches. My intentions were for people to know what signs to look for in case they have not been living as they are saved. Also, I understand many feel they do not have time to read such a book (or understand it)... I tried to make this as short as possible while keeping true to scripture. CHAPTERS 6: Seal broken by the lamb. 2nd Seal: The person riding on a fiery red horse will take peace from the earth and people will kill one another. 3rd Seal: A black horse and with it famine (hunger). 4th Seal: A pale horse and the name of the person riding it will be the death who will be followed by Hades. 1/4 of the earth killed with hunger and by the beasts of the earths. 5th Seal: Those who were slain for the Word of God cry, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, until you judge and avenge our blood?"
Revelations 6
11 Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.
***This shows me that there is a chance we are not raptured yet because there will be Christians dying for their beliefs OR this could be the people in the past such as apostles, disciples and/or prophets but still we have talk of the deaths not being completed, so there has to be people of God left.*** 6th Seal: Earthquakes, the sun becomes black and the moon becomes like blood, stars fall to the earth. Chapter 7: It says the servants of God are sealed on their foreheads (for their protection from God's wrath), specifying the 144,000 tribes of Israel. ***This also leads me to believe that those who have accepted Christ will be gone around this time because it specifies that only the 144,000 of Israel are sealed and I doubt God would leave Christians out. (Unless Christians are one and the same but only 144,000 out of the whole world?)
Revelation 7
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Revelations 7
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:
“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”
13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”
So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb
*** Now for sure we have either a rapture or more people that died for their beliefs.***
7th seal: the prelude to the seven trumpets sounded by angels. Now begin's God's wrath. I do not believe we will be here for it because the bible says a few times, we are not appointed to wrath and that Christ has saved us from the wrath to come (1 Thess. 1:10). I do know one thing, if we are here, we will surely be protected as God protected many of his people in the Old Testament. Chapters 8-10:
1st trumpet: Vegetation struck with fire. 2nd trumpet: 1.3 of the sea becomes blood and 1/3 of the sea creatures die. 3rd trumpet: Great stars fall from heaven landing in the waters and making them deadly 4th trumpet: 1/3 of the day did not shine and likewise the night. 5th trumpet: Sun and air darkened. 6th trumpet: 1/3 mankind dead, three plagues (fire, brimstone and smoke).
Matthew 24 ** 24:29 sounds like it is either from the 6th seal or the various trumpets BUT I think a keyword here is after the tribulation. Many bible scholars and pastors believe the tribulation is different from God's wrath thus the tribulation would only be the 6 seals.***
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Chapter 11:
Two witnesses of God released. (One believe to be Elijah) Fire will come from their mouths so that no one can harm them and people will try because with them comes more of God's wrath. The beast (anti-christ) will kill them and they will lay there for 3.5 days until the voice of God calls out and they ascend into heaven for everyone to see. In that same house a major earthquake shall occur.
Chapter 12: (Middle of it all...this is when the great tribulation begins)
12 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
The women is Israel and the son is Christ. Scroll to 3:00 in the video and you can see the date that this happens is September 23, 2017 which falls on the feast of trumpets!
This is also believed to be when the abomination that causes desolation stands in the holy place as described in Matthew 24:15.
The devil is thrown down to earth.... we know the earth is in for it now.
Chapter 13: The beast is given authority to blasphemy and rule for 42 months (3.5 years).
Daniel 9
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
A second beast (false prophet) arrives and causes all to worship the first. He will do great things and try and force everyone to get the mark of the beast. If you get the mark, you will not have eternal life with Christ.
Chapter 14:
And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
Chapter 15& 16: Talks about angels pouring bowls/vials upon the earth.
1st bowl: sores come on those with the mark of the beast 2nd bowl: sea turns red 3rd bowl: all waters turn red 4th bowl: men scorched with great heat 5th bowl: more sores and darkness 6th bowl: the Euphrates river dries up. 7th bowl: earthquakes and storms in the great city (Babylon) divided into 3.
Christ comes on a white horse and the war begins! The beast and his armies are defeated and then Satan and his false prophets are chained up into the fiery put for 1,000 years. Christ reigns for a 1,000 years on a new earth.

I have collected many possibilities from my research and here they are. 1.God knowing everything chose those who would do His will and predestined them to be saved.Ephesians 1:11 In him we were also chosen,[e] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.
2.God knew who would respond to Him and chose them. (Not necessarily those who would do his will but those who would find him).
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye into the straight gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat; because straight is the gate and narroe is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that FIND it.I emphasize find it because this tells me that God has not chosen for us what our end will be, we still have a chance to find him.
3.God chooses who to call and when. But we choose wether or not we are going to following him; everyone will have the chance to know God. John 6:65 65 He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.” *Note: Nowhere in the bible does it say that those who are not chosen are automatically doomed, he still gives us a chance to follow him.
4.God chose us from the begining and all things will happen as he chose. 5.God knows what paths each of us will choose of our own free will. We are still responsible for our decision but God knows the outcome of the decisions we make ahead of time. 6.We have no free will because we are not free; we are all slaves to sin. 7.God had the book of life and he checked one box for eternal life for some and one box for eternal death for others. Then he did something very unsual. He blotted out the names of those whose "eternal death" box was checked, meaning those who would die while in a state of rebellion against God. Exodus 32: 31 So Moses went back to the LORD and said, “Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. 32 But now, please forgive their sin—but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written.” 33 The LORD replied to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. 34 Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. 8. Probably one of the most commonly know views known as Calvanism which basically states that: humans are conditioned to be sinful, through God's free sovereignty he chose some before the world was made to be saved by grace and no conditions are required (what is the purpose of the bible then?), Jesus' sacrifice is not effective for all humans and the grace God gives those who are predestined can not be resisted. I see lots of flaws in this one but maybe you do not. If you want more information on this google calvanism and lots of information will come up but it is a lot to cover.
9. All have a chance to be saved but those who say "yes," are chosen. The chosen are the predestined.Matthew 22:14 "For many are called but few are chosen."
10.God has predestined our eternal salvation and everything that goes along with it. This also means everyone has a chance at going to Heaven but unlike number 9, it is saying that God predestined everything (not anyone) that needed to happen for our eternal salvation.
His predestination of us covers every step of
our salvation history. When He predestined us, He insured that (1) Christ would
shed His blood in death as ransom for the sins of the world (John 1:29; 1 John
2:2); (2) we would be called by the Holy Spirit through the Gospel; (3) we would
be moved to repentance and converted through faith in Jesus; (4) we would use
the Word and Sacrament and persevere in the Christian faith in this life; (5) we
would be finally saved and glorified forever in the life to come. God's
predestination of us insured that everything that needed to happen for out
eternal salvation would happen (See Romans 8:29-30 on the previous page).

At the risk of redundancy: the teaching of predestination is in the Bible for
one reason: to bring comfort and joy to Christians. It is a teaching that says
to Christians, "Do you want to know how much God loves you? This is how much He
loves you. He loves you so much that long before you were born, before the
foundation of the world, He predestined you in Christ to be eternally saved! Did
He do this because you deserved or earned it? You weren't even born yet! You had
done nothing to deserve it - nor could you have! He chose you to be saved by His
free grace. And by His choice of you He insured that everything that needed to
happen for your salvation would happen: that you would be called by the Gospel,
justified by faith, continue to believe in Jesus to the end, and finally be

Questions to ask yourself: (Some may be answered by the different beliefs in predestination I have listed above!)
The bible says we will judged by our works but why if he already decided what choice we were going to make would this be necessary?
If God has our fate already known and our life planned out than what was the purpose of Him sending His only Son to die on the cross for us?
If God is all powerful and can predestine someone to be saved why not predestine all of us to be saved? Would he still be all loving only choosing some?
Would a loving God create us knowing some will go to hell?
I hope you found out something helpful while reading this... I personally like 9 and 10 best because I feel it matches best with the loving God that I know I have!
So I am excited to start my first bible study! Now don't expect all of these to be bible studies that tells you what to believe because I don't intend to do that. I want you pray for God to open your heart and speak to you about what this bible study means. I will give you scriptures from the bible and let you make your own decisions. So please pray before reading this.
Last night before I went to bed I was working on making a new budget with more expensive health insurance involved. After taking away all of our bills, the health insurance and tithing we were left with practically nothing. I kept thinking how can we do this we need diapers and household products, too but we also need to tithe. I felt like I was told to go look up scriptures of tithing on the internet and this is how this study came about... I learned that I don't have to give 10%, that I give what I can out of the kindness of my heart. Now I will let you make your own decision.
WHERE DID TITHING COME FROM?
In Genesis 14, after the kings were slaughtered, Abraham returned to Palestine with Lot and with a large amount of soil that was taken from the kings. Abraham gave him a tenth of the spoil; the remainder was given to the king of Sodom.
If you read the story you will see that Abraham's tenth was not forced, he chose to offer thankskiving to God for the deliverance of his people. In fact, God does not speak of a law to tithing until Leviticus.
Not until Moses was there an actual law and many believe the law to be an old convenant that was used to help the Levits and priest at the time (like a taxation).
Here is something I found that I liked quite well...
If one decides to tithe under the law, he must:
1. Give ALL the tithes required by the law. Some count 3-4
different tithes under the law of Moses. One tithe will not satisfy the law.
(Remember, no human can change God’s law.)
2. Give your tithes to a Levitical priest. The problem here is
that there is no more Levitical priesthood. Modern pastors are not Levitical
priests. (Remember, no human can change God’s law.)
3. Give tithes in the form of agricultural produce and
livestock. This will not work for urban dwellers -- unless you have a very big
garden! (Remember, no human can change God’s law.) As to Jesus’ rebuke of the
Pharisees that they tithe mint, dill and cummin (Matthew 23:23), remember that
the New Covenant did not begin until the cross.
4. Bring your tithes to the storehouse, or
temple. You will have to go to Jerusalem, but when you get there you will not
find the temple. The problem here is that there has been no temple since A.D.
70. Modern church buildings are not the temple. Individual believers are God’s
temple. (Remember, no human can change God’s law.)
SCRIPTURES: Does God want you to give 10% if it will cause you to not be able to pay a bill or take care of your family?? 1 Timothy 5:8But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever2 Cor 8:8-15 8 I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others. 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
10 And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; 11 but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have. 12 For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.
13 For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened; 14 but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack—that there may be equality. 15 As it is written, “He whogatheredmuch had nothing left over, and he whogatheredlittle had no lack.”[b]
How does God want you to give?
2 Corinthians 9:7So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. Matthew 23:23 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.
And to end this study... FOOD was always the tithe:
Leviticus 27:30And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.
2 Chronicles 31:4-6Moreover he commanded the people who dwelt in Jerusalem to contribute support for the priests and the Levites, that they might devote themselves to the Law of the Lord. 5 As soon as the commandment was circulated, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of grain and wine, oil and honey, and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything. 6 And the children of Israel and Judah, who dwelt in the cities of Judah, brought the tithe of oxen and sheep; also the tithe of holy things which were consecrated to the Lord their God they laid in heaps.
If you want more references google scriptures on tithing and you will see it alway spices or some type of food that is tithed, never money. I pray this has been helpful to some out there who question their tithing.
